Guidelines for Contributors
Articles and illustrations remain the copyright of the author and publisher. Please do not submit photos or articles that have been previously published or submitted to other publications.

Articles: Contributions to Railway Digest are welcome. Articles can be on any subject relevant to Australia’s railways today. Written material can either be sent via e-mail to Email Editor Railway Digest as an attached file, submitted on an IBM floppy disk (with a printout of the material contained on the disk), typed or clearly handwritten. Views expressed in this magazine are not necessarily those of the editorial staff or publisher.

Photographs: We welcome readers' photographs of current Australian railway subjects. Contributions may be in the form of slides, prints or digital files. You should include a detailed description with your photograph including the time, date, place the photograph was taken and the photographer’s name.

Colour slides: Please write basic photograph details (including your name) on the mount. For additional information if required, please attach details on a cross-referenced sheet.

Colour and black and white prints (gloss only): Please write photograph details on the reverse of the photo as well as your name and address.

Digital photographs may be submitted but at this stage they will only be reproduced as two column width photos. If submitting digital photographs by email, please ensure that the file size does not exceed 300 kb. Include details of the best quality copy of the file you have (i.e. dpi, image size etc). If your photograph is selected, we will request you to submit a high resolution file. Digital photographs can also be submitted on zip disk or on CD.

Slides/prints/zip disks and CDs will be returned to owners, usually within 12 months of receipt, please include a stamped self addressed envelope for return of prints. Slides are returned at the publisher’s expense. Items which are not returned to their owners may be held in the Rail Resource Centre.
