Access to Reearch Facilities
The ARHS Railway Resource Centre (RRC) (formerly ARHS Archives) is managed by the ARHS (NSW Division) with the participation and support of the NSW Rail Transport Museum. The collection currently houses thousands of documents, books, periodicals, photographs and slides that the Society has acquired over many years. It is constantly being added to, by deliberate acquisition and also through donations and bequests by Society members and others whose contributions are greatly valued.

There are two facilities available that allow you to access the RRC reference library and resource collection:

Reading RoomThe Mal Park Reading Room is open during the following times (except public holidays):

First four Saturdays of each month 10.00am - 3.00 pm
EVERY Tuesday of each month 12 noon - 4.00 pm

This service is provided for financial members of the ARHS (NSW Division) and the NSW Rail Transport Museum as well as the general public for private research purposes. Access fees are shown below:

Because of the limited time available on these days all commercial requests will only be handled through the Research Services facility.

A Research Service is provided for all financial ARHS members, members of affiliated societies and the general public who are unable to access the Reading Room to carry out their own private research, or who require assistance with a lengthy research project. An administration charge is made for each research request, plus a research fee based on the time required to provide the requested information.

Because our collection contains much information that is not available from any other source, we are able to provide research facilities for most general and commercial enquiries. Should the required information not be available in our collection, we can often obtain this from other sources.
